Pierce City, MO (December 21, 2021) – A pedestrian accident reported on Sunday evening in Lawrence County has claimed one man’s life. Just before 10 p.m., on December 19, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Missouri State Route 37.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper S. D. Goostree show that a pedestrian was walking near Missouri State Route 37 just one mile north of Pierce City. For unknown reasons, a 2008 Ford F-250 passing through the area struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, who was identified as 29-year-old Bryan Perryman, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased by Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
