Poplar Bluff, MO (December 10, 2021) – An auto accident reported in the Poplar Bluff area resulted in injuries. At around 6:40 a.m., on December 9, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on Highway 142.
Reports from authorities show that a rear-end collision involving a 2016 Ford F-350 and a 2010 Ford F-150 took place on Highway 142 just two miles south of Poplar Bluff.
The crash ended in injuries. The victims, 29-year-old Zachary Wheeler of Alton, Missouri, and 38-year-old Derek Bunyard of Fairdealings, Missouri, were both transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
