Purcell, MO (December 28, 2021) – One man was hospitalized with moderate injuries following an accident in Jasper County on Tuesday morning, December 28. At around 9:30 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Route D.
Reports from MSHP Trooper B.D. Vaught show that a rear-end collision between a 2017 Ford Explorer and a 2011 Freightliner occurred on Route D in the Purcell area. The incident left the Ford totaled, requiring it to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Ford, 28-year-old Jonathan Davis, was transported to Mercy Joplin by EMS for the treatment of moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
