Richland Township, MO (December 8, 2021) – One woman has lost her life as a result of a traffic-related incident in Barton County on Tuesday afternoon, December 7.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2004 Pontiac Montana was traveling north on Route T when it became involved in a crash with a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 just four miles southeast of Lamar.
The driver of the Pontiac sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The victim was later identified as 27-year-old Jamie Elizabeth Kirch.
Four other people involved in the crash were injured. A male juvenile of less than one year, a 4-year-old male juvenile, and 29-year-old Levi Brubaker were all airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for care. EMS transported 45-year-old Jose Cabrales to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
