St Charles, MO (December 16, 2021) – A traffic-related incident reported in St Charles left one woman seriously injured. At around 5:40 p.m., on December 14, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway 79.
Reports from authorities show that a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling on the southbound side of Highway 79 when it struck a pedestrian just south of Old Highway 79.
The pedestrian, 20-year-old Cheyanne Mislak, sustained serious injuries in the accident. Mislak was rushed to Mercy Hospital in St Louis for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
