St Charles, MO (December 19, 2021) – One woman was left with injuries following a motor vehicle crash in St Charles on Friday evening, December 17. At around 7:15 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2017 Mazda 3 and a 2012 Nissan Altima were both traveling east on Interstate 70. For unknown reasons, traffic began to slow down near mile marker 208. As the Mazda slowed down, it was rear-ended by the Nissan.
The driver of the Mazda, 18-year-old Whitney Palm, sustained injuries in the crash. She was transported to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital Lake St Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
