St Francois, MO (December 21, 2021) – An auto accident reported in the St Francois area left one young woman injured. On December 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash on US Highway 67 required assistance.
Reports from MSHP Trooper J. J. Wilt show that at around 12:50 p.m., a 2020 Ford Fusion, a 2012 Kia Optima, and a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica were traveling south on US Highway 67.
For unknown reasons, the driver of the Chrysler swerved their vehicle, which resulted in a collision with the Ford. The Ford then collided with the Kia.
The driver of the Kia, 19-year-old Abigail Gowen, sustained injuries in the accident. Gowen was transported to Parkland Health Center South Farmington by St Francois County ambulance.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
