St Louis, MO (December 16, 2021) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon, December 15. At around 2:05 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 64.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a collision between a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, a 2010 Honda Civic, and a 2015 Nissan Juke occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 64 just east of Interstate 270. The incident caused moderate delays in traffic throughout the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
Two people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported 42-year-old Elton Long and 68-year-old Patricia Tessler to Mercy Hospital St Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
