Warren, MO (December 13, 2021) – A Crash reported on Sunday morning in Warren County left one man injured. At around 6:05 a.m., on December 12, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2007 Honda Civic was passing a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia on the eastbound side of Interstate 70. At the same time, the Freightliner attempted to change lanes. As a result, the truck crashed into the Honda. The force of the impact caused the Honda to travel off the north side of the road near mile marker 190.6.
The driver of the Honda, 34-year-old David Vennell, sustained injuries in the accident. Vennell was transported to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
