Washington, MO (December 20, 2021) – One man was left with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in the Washington area on Friday afternoon, December 17. At around 3:35 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Missouri State Route 8.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer and a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado were both traveling east on Missouri State Route 8. The driver of the Trailblazer stopped the vehicle for a school bus that was unloading children near Saturn Road.
The driver of the Colorado did not see the vehicle stropped. As a result, the front of the Colorado crashed into the rear of the Trailblazer.
The driver of the Trailblazer, 64-year-old Kenneth Gaylord, was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Kenneth Gaylord at this time. We hope for his full recovery.
