Bethany, MO (February 19, 2021) – Three teenagers were injured during a single-vehicle accident on Route W at about 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19th just outside of Bethany.
Incident reports show that the accident occurred in the northbound lane of Route W when a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a 16-year-old male from Eagleville failed to successfully negotiate a sharp bend in the road. The car left the roadway and flipped over multiple times before eventually coming to rest on its roof.
The driver and one passenger, a 17-year-old female, also from Eagleville, were transported to Harrison County Community Hospital with injuries that were classified as minor and moderate, respectively.
The second passenger, an 18-year-old female from Bethany, suffered very serious injuries and was airlifted to Truman Medical Center.
