Jefferson Co, MO (February 27, 2021) – One person died and two more were critically injured during a multi-car accident in Jefferson County on Friday, February 26th.
Sources said that at about 7:30 p.m., a Dodge Dakota and a Jeep Grand Cherokee were heading westbound along Highway 30 in the area of Adele Drive as a Chevrolet S-10 was heading eastbound. The Chevrolet swerved across the middle of the road and collided head-on with the Dodge and the Jeep.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Joseph Austin, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge, a 33-year-old man, and his passenger, an 11-year-old boy, both sustained severe injuries and were transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
No additional details about the accident have been released.
