Insurance companies employ adjusters to work for them. An insurance adjuster’s job is to save the company as much money as they can. In order to do this, the adjuster will try to get you to admit that the accident was partially or entirely your fault. They might also try to get you to admit that your accident-related injuries aren’t really that severe, or that accident itself wasn’t really that serious.

Anytime you speak with an insurance adjuster, it is imperative that you do not make any admission of fault, or give them a statement regarding the accident. The smartest thing you can do before talking to an adjuster about your car accident is to have a reputable personal injury attorney with you.
