Clay Co, MO (January 13, 2021) – An accident involving three vehicles took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Clay County on Wednesday, January 13th.
According to incident reports, the collision took place at about 1:50 p.m. when a 2007 Mazda crashed into the back of a 2004 Honda that was stopped partially in the lefthand lane due to a flat tire. Debris from the collision then struck a 2016 Kia.
The driver of the Honda, a 23-year-old male from Kansas City, was transported by Kansas City Fire to Liberty Hospital with injuries classified as non-life-threatening.
The driver of the Kia, a 49-year-old female from Independence, also suffered minor injuries during the impact.
