Nevada, MO (January 01, 2021) – On Friday, January 1st, one person was killed in a single-vehicle accident near Marmaduke Park in the city of Nevada.
Incident reports show that, at about 7:50 a.m., a 2009 Pontiac G5 failed to successfully negotiate a righthand turn, ran off the lefthand side of the roadway, and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 21-year-old male from Nevada, sustained serious injuries and was transported by emergency medical services to Nevada Regional Medical Center.
The passenger, 21-year-old Jerod R. Gerster, also from Nevada, was pronounced dead at the scene.
