Callaway Co, MO (July 07, 2021) – A man died during a collision between two vehicles on Tuesday, July 6th in Callaway County.
Police reports state that the accident took place at about 5:20 p.m. on County Road 228, in the area of County Road 257 when a tractor operated by a 16-year-old from Fulton veered across the centerline of County Road 228 and collided head-on with a truck driven by 47-year-old Darrell Fischer, also from Fulton.
Fischer’s vehicle was pushed off the righthand side of the roadway and struck two mailboxes. He died at the scene.
The juvenile on the tractor was unharmed during the crash.
