Kansas City, MO (July 09, 2021) – A collision involving a tractor-trailer shut down a portion of 169 Highway on Friday, July 9th in Kansas City.
The accident took place at about 7:15 a.m. by the on-ramp for 9 Highway.
The tractor-trailer ended up on its side, taking up both the north and southbound sides of the highway
Police reported that the truck operator sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
A tow truck was ordered to remove both vehicles from the roadway. The highway was closed for clean-up and investigation for more than four hours.
It is unclear what caused the accident.
