Kansas City, MO (July 19, 2021) – Officers with the Kansas City Police Department say that a third young victim has died after a house fire occurred last week in the 7000 block of North Avalon Street.

Police said the 4-year-old child tragically died on Monday, July 19, as a result of injuries from the fire. They also identified the first two victims as a 10-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy. The fire was reported just after 11:00 a.m. last Wednesday morning. When flames erupted at the home, many neighbors called 911. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and further details about any other victims involved have not been released.
