Monett, MO (July 06, 2021) – On Tuesday, July 6th, two teenagers sustained injuries in a two-car accident in Barry County.
The crash occurred at about 8:55 p.m. on U.S. Highway 60, just outside of Monett.
One of the drivers, 18-year-old Emily G. North, a resident of Crane, and a 17-year-old local passenger from the other vehicle were both taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in serious condition.
North was traveling westbound when she crashed into an eastbound pick-up truck driven by 42-year-old San J. Fernandez-Garcia, also local, when he attempted to make a lefthand turn in front of North.
