Ray Co, MO (July 17, 2021) – On Saturday, July 17th, an injury-causing accident between two vehicles took place on Highway M in Ray County.
The crash occurred at about 5:45 p.m. in the 15000 block of Highway M in Rayville.
Local sources reported that a 2018 Ford Mustang driven by a 24-year-old male from Excelsior Springs was traveling southbound on Highway M when a 2018 Toyota Corolla failed to yield the right-of-way as it was making a lefthand turn, causing the two vehicles to collide with one another.
The force of the impact caused the Mustang to crash into a mailbox and then into a utility pole.
Both vehicles involved in the crash were insured and all vehicle occupants were properly restrained.
An occupant of the Corolla, a 31-year-old female from Joplin, was transported by Ray County Emergency Medical Services to Excelsior Memorial Hospital with injuries believed to be non-critical.
