St. Charles, MO (July 25, 2021) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle accident that took place at about 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th in the eastbound lanes of Missouri 94, in the area of Church Road.
Troopers stated that, for reasons that have yet to be determined, a vehicle heading westbound on Missouri 94 crossed over the centerline and drove into the eastbound lane of traffic, causing the left side of the vehicle to strike the front of a pick-up truck traveling in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the vehicle that drove into oncoming traffic, 69-year-old Juan Hoffman, a resident of Florissant, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken by paramedics to a local hospital with non-critical injuries and the pick-ups passenger was transported with injuries classified as moderate.
This crash is under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
