Kansas City, KS - David Pittaway Killed in Crash on I-35

Kansas City, KS (June 30, 2021) - A man was killed when he was hit by a car on Interstate 35 while trying to clear dangerous debris from the roadway on Friday, June 25th.

66-year-old David Pittaway was transported to a hospital after he was struck by a vehicle heading southbound on Interstate 35 in the area of the 18th Street Expressway.

Eyewitnesses stated that Pittaway attempted to dodge the oncoming vehicle by moving to another lane. The car also made the same lane change and struck Pittaway.

The driver stayed at the scene and was unharmed during the incident.

Pittaway passed away from his injuries on Wednesday, June 30th.
