Kansas City, MO - Amiyah S. Hatten Killed in Broadside Collision on I-70
Kansas City, MO (May 17, 2021) - One person died and another was seriously injured during a two-car collision on Sunday, May 16th in Kansas City.
The accident took place at about 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 70 near Wyandotte.
Police reports show that 21-year old Amiyah S. Hatten was killed when her car, for reasons that have yet to be determined, was turned sideways across the lanes of traffic on the interstate causing it to be broadsided by an oncoming vehicle.
Hatten's car overturned at least once before coming to a stop in a ditch on the north side of the roadway.
There was a driver and two passengers inside of the striking car, one of whom sustained serious injuries. The other two people were unharmed during the incident.
