Poplar Bluff, MO (May 31, 2021) – Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car in Butler County on Sunday, May 30th.
The accident occurred at about 8:00 p.m. on Highway M, just outside of Poplar Bluff.
Sources from inside the department confirmed that 34-year-old Charles R. Miskell, a resident of Poplar Bluff, was struck by a black car. The driver of the car then fled the scene.
Miskell was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
