St. Peters, MO – Three Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer on Hwy 94

Categorized as Auto Accidents

St. Peters, MO (May 04, 2021) – An accident involving four vehicles, one of which was a tractor-trailer, that took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 caused injuries to three of the people involved on Tuesday, May 4th.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that, at about 9:30 p.m., a man driving a Ford Mustang on the ramp connecting the westbound lanes of Highway 94 to Interstate 70 made a dangerous merge into the righthand lane.

This unsafe lane change caused the Mustang to collide with a tractor-trailer, pushing it into the lefthand lane of traffic. The force of the impact caused the oversized truck to spin across all the highway lanes and crash into a median.

In an attempt to avoid the initial crash, the driver of a Ford Explorer swerved, lost control of the vehicle, and flipped. Seconds later, a Ford Fusion hit the Mustang which was now disabled in the lefthand lane.

The driver of the Mustang was thrown from the vehicle moments before it went on fire.

Three drivers were transported via ambulances to area hospitals.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
