Bull Creek, MO (November 17, 2021) – At around 11:47 a.m., on November 16, the Missouri State Highway Patrol received the request for assistance at the scene of an auto accident that left one man seriously injured.

Reports from MSHP Trooper J. S. Schwartz show that a 2007 Honda Accord, driven by 30-year-old Cory McNerney, turned in front of a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route F in the Village of Bull Creek. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

The motorcycle’s operator, 40-year-old Donald Hartman, sustained serious injuries in the accident. Hartman was rushed to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri where he underwent emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Donald Hartman at this time. We hope for his full recovery.

Motorcycle Accidents in Missouri

Motorcycle accidents in Missouri impact the lives of thousands of people every year. Riders are far more vulnerable than people traveling in cars, trucks, and other passenger vehicles. As a result, these victims are more likely to suffer injuries that require immediate surgery and long-term treatment.

In many instances, victims are left with severe injuries that drastically limit their abilities and require immediate and long-term care. Suffering spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and even back injuries can result in the need for long-term care. Many people who suffer severe injuries are forced out of work indefinitely.

Dealing with painful injuries is only made worse by the financial consequences that impact both victims and their families. Following collisions, victims often face towering medical expenses, lost wages, and vehicle repair expenses. These and other financial burdens weigh down the mental and emotional health of victims who are simply trying to recover from painful injuries.
