Franklin, MO (November 23, 2021) – Two people were left injured following a truck accident in Franklin County on Saturday evening. At around 7:12 p.m., on November 20, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 44.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a 2013 Freightliner and a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu collided on the eastbound side of Interstate 44 near mile marker 225. The crash caused moderate delays in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 67-year-old Patricia Danalds, and her passenger, 66-year-old Steven Danalds, sustained injuries in the accident. Both victims were transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Steven Danalds and Patricia Danalds at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Car Accidents in Missouri
Thousands of motorists are involved in collisions throughout the state of Missouri each year. Although not all accidents end in catastrophic injuries, a fair share of these accidents do force victims into area hospitals. In many cases, victims sustain broken bones, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and various other life-changing injuries that require extensive medical treatment. These collisions often force innocent victims into area hospitals where they have to undergo extensive medical treatment. Many victims require hospitalization and have to spend weeks or even months off work as they go through therapy and transition back into their normal routine.
The chances of suffering catastrophic injuries are greatly increased in accidents involving speeding vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and semi-trucks. However, it is important to understand that various factors come into play when it comes to determining the severity of an injury a victim is likely to sustain.
When people are hurt in traffic-related incidents as a result of other motorists, our state allows them to file legal claims against wrongdoers to recover compensation for the financial burdens they endure. Victims can benefit immensely by consulting with a car accident attorney in Franklin who is well-versed in personal injury laws in our state.
