Fruitland, MO (November 29, 2021) – Two people were transported to area hospitals following an auto accident in the Cape Girardeau area on Saturday morning, November 27. At around 11:10 a.m., calls for assistance came in surrounding a crash on Highway 177.
Reports from local authorities show that a 2003 Ford F-150 was traveling on Highway 177 when it collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Impala just one half-mile east of Fruitland.
Both drivers were injured in the accident. The victims, 26-year-old Steven Porzelt and 41-year-old Sarah Dixon, were both transported to St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
