Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a Ford 624 Workmaster Tractor was stopped on Route Z in Halltown when it was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by 59-year-old Matthew Boxberger.

The driver of the Ford, 74-year-old Gary Shields, sustained injuries in the accident. EMS transported Shields to Cox South for care.

At this time, the MSHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.

Our thoughts are with Gary Shields at this time. We hope for his full recovery.
