Idlewood, MO (November 29, 2021) – Two people were left with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in the Idlewood area on Saturday evening, November 26. Just after 4:30 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 54.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2017 Hyundai Tucson was stopped on US Highway 54 while partially in the roadway. As a 2012 Chevrolet Impala merged onto the westbound side of the highway from Missouri State Highway 179, the two vehicles collided.
Two victims, 47-year-old Rebecca Weider and 65-year-old Grace Bertrand, were injured in the accident. Bertrand was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
