Kansas City, MO (November 24, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in the Kansas City area on Friday evening. At around 5 p.m., on November 19, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Ameristar Drive.
Reports from authorities show that a white Kawasaki Ninja occupied by one person was traveling south on Ameristar Drive. For unknown reasons, a white Ford pickup truck traveling north on the same roadway turned in front of the motorcycle near Birmingham Road. As a result, the vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist was ejected from their vehicle and landed in the road. The driver of the pickup truck then ran over the rider.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
