Kansas City, MO – Two Injured in Truck Crash on I-35 near Armour Rd
Kansas City, MO (November 25, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Clay County on Sunday evening ended in injuries. At around 6:15 p.m., on November 21, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 35.
Reports from authorities show that a 2016 Peterbilt tractor-trailer switched lanes on the southbound side of Interstate 35 and crashed into a 2019 Hyundai. The impact of the crash caused the Hyundai to go off the roadway near Armour Road and strike a traffic sign. The Hyundai then went airborne and crashed into a guardrail.
The driver of the Hyundai, 24-year-old Cassidy Knight, and her passenger, 31-year-old Kenneth Baker, were both injured in the crash. Both victims were transported to North Kansas City Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
