Kingsville, MO (November 1, 2021) – One woman was left with moderate injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Johnson County. At around 6:35 p.m., on October 31, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash on Highway 50 required assistance.
Preliminary investigations provided by MSHP show that a 2016 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Highway 50. At the same time, a 2006 GMC 2500 was traveling northbound on Northwest 2601 Road. As the vehicles entered the intersection, the GMC failed to yield the right of way. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Honda, 46-year-old Amy Sandy, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Amy Sandy at this time. We hope for her full recovery.
