Lee Summit, MO – 7-Year-Old Loses Life in Hay Ride Accident on Pratt Rd

Lee Summit, MO (November 1, 2021) – One young child has lost his life following an accident in Lee Summit on Saturday evening, October 30. At around 7:45 p.m., authorities were called to the site of an accident on Pratt Road.

Reports from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office show that a 7-year-old boy was riding on a hayride in the 13000 block of Pratt Road during the evening hours. The boy fell off the trailer and was subsequently run over.

The child suffered severe injuries in the accident. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
