Monroe City, MO (November 7, 2021) – Several people were left injured following a two-vehicle collision in Ralls County on Friday evening, November 5. At around 8:20 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on US Highway 36.
Reports from local authorities show that a collision between a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox occurred on US Highway 36 near Route J. The incident blocked the intersection, causing moderate delays in the area. The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe City Fire Department both responded to the scene to provide assistance.
Several people involved in the crash were injured. 25-year-old Nichole Smith, a 1-year-old male, and a 4-year-old female were identified as the three victims inside the Equinox. Three other victims were inside the Malibu. The victims were identified as 20-year-old Kyemichael Keel, 19-year-old Jordan Howard, and 18-year-old Noah Howard. All six victims were transported via ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
