Philipsburg, MO (November 30, 2021) – One woman was left with serious injuries as a result of a traffic-related incident in Laclede County on Sunday afternoon, November 28. Just after 3 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 44.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a collision between a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, a 2020 Ford Expedition, and a 2011 Honda Civic occurred on Interstate 44 near mile marker 121.4.
The crash caused moderate delays in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
This crash resulted in injuries. 33-year-old Shi Simmons was transported by Mercy EMS to Mercy Springfield Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
