St Louis, MO (November 20, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in St Louis on Thursday morning claimed the lives of two victims while leaving two others injured. Just after 11 a.m., on November 18, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Missouri Highway 231.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 was stopped on the right turn lane of northbound Missouri Route 231 near the westbound side of Interstate 255. As a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier traveled through the construction zone, it crashed into the Silverado and three pedestrians.
Two of the pedestrians, 25-year-old Kaitlyn Anderson and 58-year-old James Brooks, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third pedestrian, 35-year-old Michael Brown, was rushed to Mercy Hospital South for the treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the Cavalier, 52-year-old Stanley McFadden, was transported to Mercy South for the treatment of moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
