Albany, MO (October 6, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Albany area left two people injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the victims as 76-year-old Lyle Powell and 31-year-old Derek Williams, both of Albany, Missouri.
At around 4:25 p.m., on October 5, a 2012 Chevrolet 2500 and a 2016 Chevrolet 1500 were both traveling west on US Highway 136. As the vehicles proceeded through the area, the Chevrolet 2500 slowed to make a left turn. The Chevrolet 1500 then collided with the vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles, identified as Williams and Powell, were both injured. Both men were transported to Mosaic Medical Center for care.
At this time, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
