Calhoun, MO (October 18, 2021) – A Total of six people, including two juveniles, were left injured following a motor vehicle accident on Friday evening in Henry County. At around 4 p.m., on October 15, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a collision.
Reports from authorities show that a 2011 Ford, driven by 40-year-old Charles Pritchard, was traveling through the area just north of Northeast 951 Road. At the same time, a vehicle was stopped in the roadway to turn into a private drive.
Pritchard swerved into the southbound lane to avoid a collision with the stopped vehicle. As a result, his vehicle collided head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet, driven by 20-year-old Lisa Hicks.
Pritchard, Hicks, and four passengers in the Chevrolet sustained injuries. An infant female, a 1-year-old female, and 23-year-old Vladimir Stryka were all transported to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
Pritchard was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for the treatment of injuries. Hicks was transported via LifeFlight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. 46-year-old Julie Comstock was also airlifted to Research Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Vladimir Stryka, Lisa Hicks, Charles Pritchard, Julie Comstock, and the two children injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
