Cape Girardeau, MO (October 25, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday morning, October 24, ended in injuries.
At around 11:05 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol received the request for assistance on-site at a crash on Route K.
Reports from authorities show that a rear-end collision between a 2005 Highlander and a 2016 Kia Soul occurred on Route K just three miles west of Cape Girardeau. The incident left both vehicles with extensive damage, prompting them to be towed from the scene.
The drivers of each vehicle were injured. The victims, identified as 22-year-old Audrey Lewis and 52-year-old Melissa Myers, were both transported to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau for care.
