Carthage, MO (October 22, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Jasper County ended in injuries. At around 6:20 p.m., on October 20, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Missouri State Highway 96.
Reports from authorities show that a 2017 Ford Escape, driven by 67-year-old Gerald Fuller, was turned into the path of a 1993 Dodge 2500, driven by 53-year-old Larry Nagel, just 5-miles east of Carthage. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Both drivers were injured. Nagel was transported to Mercy Hospital in Carthage for care. Fuller was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
