Franklin, MO (October 7, 2021) – Two people were left injured following a motor vehicle accident in Franklin County on Wednesday evening, October 6. At around 5::16 p.m., authorities were requested at the scene of an accident on Missouri Route 30.
Reports from authorities show that a 2008 Ford Escape and a 2017 Kia Forte were both traveling east on Missouri Route 30. At the same time, a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling west on the same road.
As the driver of the Ford attempted to make a left turn near Route N, it was struck by the Dodge Ram. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to rotate counterclockwise and strike the Kia.
52-year-old Gregory Hertweck and 44-year-old Mary Canaday both sustained injuries in the accident. Both victims were transported to Mercy Hospital, Washington by ambulance for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
