Houston, MO (October 12, 2021) – A 14-year-old male was left injured following an accident in Texas County. At around 5:55 p.m., on October 11, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Westview Road.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a 17-year-old male was driving a 2017 Polaris XP1000 Utility Terrain Vehicle in the area of Ridge Road and Westview Road, just 1-mile east of Houston. For unknown reasons, the vehicle became involved in a collision.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 14-year-old male, was ejected. The teen sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was rushed to Texas County Memorial Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
