Jefferson Township, MO (October 26, 2021) – One woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries following an accident in Cole County on Monday morning, October 25.

At around 9:15 a.m., a 2020 Toyota RAV4 was traveling on the westbound side of US Highway 54 when the vehicle merged into the path of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler in the area just east of Route CC. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles were damaged extensively and had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, 54-year-old Pamela Jones, was transported to Capital Regional Hospital by ambulance for care. The driver of the Toyota, 27-year-old Shelby Wyrick, was not injured.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Pamela Jones at this time. We hope for her full recovery.

Car Accidents in Missouri

The Missouri Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration both report that the state of Missouri ranks 19th out of all 50 states for the likelihood of drivers and passengers losing their lives in traffic-related incidents. Not only does our state rank highly in fatal collisions, but the number of injury accidents is significant as well. Each year, more than 50,000 people are left with injuries from auto accidents across our state.

People involved in collisions are often forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on medical treatment and vehicle repairs while going without wages from work. Even though many injured victims have to take some time off work to recover from their injuries, numerous victims are left permanently disabled and unable to return to work after.

When victims are harmed in accidents, due to the negligence of others, they often have legal options available to help them recover. Working with a knowledgeable and aggressive car accident attorney in the Jefferson Township area after your accident can greatly improve your chances of recovering.
