Neosho, MO – Alex Monzon Mazariegos, Christopher Wilson, Sherry Wilson, & Paul Wilson Injured in Crash on US-60

Neosho, MO (October 5, 2021) – Four people were hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident in Newton County on Monday afternoon, October 4. Just before 3:20 p.m., authorities were requested on-site at a two-vehicle collision on US Highway 60.

Reports from authorities show that a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu and a 1998 Toyota 4Runner collided on US Highway 60 just 1 mile east of Neosho.

Several people involved in the accident were injured. The victims were identified as 21-year-old Alex Monzon Mazariegos, 24-year-old Christopher Wilson, 70-year-old Sherry Wilson, and 72-year-old Paul Wilson. All found victims were transported via EMS to Freeman West, Joplin for care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
