Oak Grove, MO (October 1, 2021) – Authorities have identified 63-year-old Deborah Boutross as the victim of the car accident in Jackson County on Thursday afternoon. Just before 1:26 p.m., on September 30, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Highway H.
Reports from authorities show that a 2012 Kia Soul was traveling on northbound Highway H when the driver of the vehicle, Boutross, slowed down to make a turn near East Gillespie Road.
For unknown reasons, the Kia was struck from behind by a 2006 Ford F-350, driven by 37-year-old Edward McMorris.
Boutross sustained moderate injuries in the accident. They were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Deborah Boutross at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Car Accidents in Oak Grove, Missouri
Each year, motor vehicle crashes impact the lives of thousands of people across our state. Not only do victims involved in crashes have their lives disrupted, but they are often left with significant financial, emotional, and physical consequences as well. In many cases, victims sustain injuries that require extensive medical treatment. When victims suffer spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, or even internal organ damage, they often need several surgeries and have to spend months off their feet or going to therapy.
Being unable to work for an extended period while being overwhelmed with tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills not only impacts injured parties but their families as well. It does not seem right that victims who are injured in accidents as a result of the actions of others are forced to spend substantial amounts of money on treatment. Rather than moving forward after an accident alone, victims should consult with a responsive Oak Grove personal injury attorney who can help educate them with regards to legal options available and help them to exercise their rights and collect the compensation they need and deserve.
