Pemiscot, MO (October 16, 2021) – One woman was left injured as a result of a traffic-related incident in Pemiscot County on Friday morning, October 15.
At around 6:35 a.m., emergency crews rushed to the scene of a crash on Interstate 55.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria and a 2015 International Tractor collided on Interstate 55 in the area of mile marker 24.
The impact of the crash caused the Ford to go off the road and crash into a cable barrier.
The driver of the Ford, 25-year-old Sharika Johnson of Caruthersville, Missouri was injured in the crash. She was transported to Hayti Hospital – Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
