Spickard, MO (October 24, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Grundy County ended in injuries, according to reports. At around 4:25 p.m., on October 22, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 65.
Reports from local authorities show that a 2008 Lincoln MK2, driven by 28-year-old Samantha Lynch, was traveling north on US Highway 65. At the same time, a 2001 Peterbilt tractor-trailer was traveling through the same area. As the Lincoln attempted to turn at Route C from US Highway 65, it was struck by the semi-truck as the operator attempted to pass another vehicle.
A passenger in the Lincoln, identified as a 4-year-old boy from Trenton, Missouri, sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
