Summersville, MO (October 12, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in the Summersville area on Monday afternoon, October 11.
At around 1:25 p.m., a 1999 Ford Taurus was traveling on Missouri State Highway 17, just 8 miles north of Summersville, when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The driver, 25-year-old Thomas Franklin, and one passenger, 21-year-old Daniel Ketchum, were both injured in the accident. Franklin was transported to Cox South in Springfield, Missouri for care.
Ketchum was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
A third person in the vehicle, identified as 47-year-old Jason McGrath, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
