Categorized as Auto Accidents

Troy, MO (October 19, 2021) – A total of three people were hospitalized with moderate to serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision in Lincoln County on Monday morning, October 18.

At around 6:30 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash on US Highway 61 required assistance.

Reports from MSHP Trp. S. T. Bruenger show that a 2013 Ford Fusion, a 2004 Ford F-450 Superduty pickup truck, and a 2010 Toyota Prius were all traveling northbound on US Highway 61. For unknown reasons, the Ford Fusion driver failed to maintain their lane. As a result, the Toyota collided with the side of the Ford F-450 just north of South Lincoln Drive.

The impact of the crash caused the Ford Fusion to become Stationary in lane one. The vehicle was then struck by the Toyota Prius.

Three people involved in the accident were injured. The victims were identified as a juvenile male, 30-year-old Dectric Bolien, and 38-year-old John Long. All three victims were transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis by ambulance for emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Dectric Bolien, John Long, and the child injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
